Thoughts

I'm so sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I only had the privilege of knowing him for the last few months since he took me on as his IT Tutor. In the half dozen or so sessions I spent with him, we enjoyed lots of chat about his life and his family. He loved showing me the pictures received from the family and he was clearly very proud of his grandchildren. I very quickly developed an admiration for him - his intellect, his affection for his family and his determination to succeed! In fact I told him recently that he was now my star pupil, he had achieved so much with his iPad, so much so that in hospital he emailed me to list all the ways in which it was keeping his world open despite being stuck in hospital - NOT LEAST keeping up with the Bridge Club scores!! Indeed I often mention Brian to others as an inspiration, and I'm sure I will again. I will remember him fondly and I pray that his close friends and family will find solace in the memories of a very lovely man. I'm raising a glass to you now Brian. Cheers, Dave.
